This policy outlines the terms for terminating or canceling a project, including the conditions under which cancellations are accepted, the refund policy, and applicable fees. By engaging in a project with msloydwrites, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Cancellation Terms

Either party may request to cancel a project by providing written notice. For projects with a defined timeline or deadline, cancellation requests must be made at least 3 days before the scheduled delivery date.

• Client-Initiated Cancellations: Clients may cancel a project at any stage; however, certain fees may apply depending on the status of the work completed.
• msloydwrites-Initiated Cancellations: We reserves the right to cancel a project if the client fails to provide necessary materials, adhere to deadlines, or comply with agreed-upon terms.

*Any cancellation initiated by msloydwrites will include a refund based on the percentage of work completed, if applicable.

Refund Policy

Refunds are only issued for incomplete work according to the following guidelines:

• Before Project Start: If a project is canceled by the client before any work has started, a full refund will be issued, excluding any non-refundable administrative fees that may apply.
• During Project: If the project is canceled by the client after work has begun, a partial refund may be issued, minus the “early termination fee” percentage outlined below.
• Completed Projects: Once a project is completed and delivered to the client, refunds are not available. All sales are final for completed work, as outlined in the project agreement.

Early Termination Fee

To protect the time and effort msloydwrites dedicates to each project, an “early termination fee” will be applied if the client cancels the project after work has begun:

• Early Termination Fee: A fee of [50%] of the total project cost will be due if a project is canceled after work has commenced but before its completion. This fee covers time, resources, and opportunity costs associated with the project.

Payment Terms

All payments for projects must be made as per the agreed schedule, including any upfront deposits.

Failure to make timely payments may result in project delays or cancellation at the discretion of msloydwrites. Please note that Illinois state law governs all transactions and any disputes related to cancellation and termination.
