A $150.00 retainer fee is required to secure your project and begin services.

The msloydwrites Writing Project Retainer is designed to reserve dedicated time for your project and initiate the professional work required before and during the writing process.

Your retainer secures time on the msloydwrites project schedule, allowing us to begin reviewing your project requirements, establishing the scope of work, conducting preliminary research, reviewing provided materials, and preparing for the agreed-upon deliverables.

The $150.00 retainer helps secure:

How It Works

Once your project has been approved, you will receive the applicable service agreement and payment instructions.

The $150.00 retainer must be paid and the service agreement signed before work begins.

The retainer reserves your place in the msloydwrites production schedule and allows time to be allocated specifically to your project. Because project time, scheduling, research, and preliminary work are committed in advance, the retainer is required before the project can be initiated.

Following payment of the retainer, the remaining project balance will be established according to the scope, complexity, research requirements, turnaround time, and agreed-upon deliverables.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance is due within five (5) business days of the retainer payment and before final deliverables are released.

For larger or extended projects, an alternative payment schedule may be established in writing before work begins.

Project Pricing

The $150.00 retainer is the minimum amount required to initiate a writing project. It is not necessarily the total project fee.

Project-based fees begin at $150.00 and may increase based on the amount of writing, research, editing, strategic development, technical complexity, turnaround requirements, and other project-specific considerations.

Hourly consulting and writing support are also available at $150.00 per hour when an hourly arrangement is more appropriate for the project.
